A former officer in the US Navy. He has a Doctor of Science in Information Systems and Communications. He has taught at the collegiate level since 1996 and has held various positions, from lecturer to campus president. Dr. Barnes has worked in the not-for-profit, for-profit universities, and community colleges as well.
